Team 1
Dr. Anil Kumar Pegu
Veterinary Officer, Department of AH & Veterinary, Govt. of Assam
Dr. Anil Kr. Pegu is a veterinarian with over a decade of experience in livestock-based livelihood development across the North Eastern region. He has worked extensively in dairy, piggery, poultry, and agriculture sectors. Before joining the Government of Assam as a Veterinary Officer in 2016, he served as Program Manager at the Centre for Microfinance & Livelihood (CML), an initiative of Tata Trusts, leading several livelihood pilots under NRLM and MKSP.As a National Resource Person with NIRDPR since 2015, Dr. Pegu has conducted numerous trainings for SRLMs in states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana. He also serves as OSD in the Mising Autonomous Council, Gogamukh, contributing to local governance and development.Beyond his professional roles, Dr. Pegu is actively associated with the Mising Sahita Sabha (MisingAgomKébang), promoting indigenous language, culture, and traditional practices. His work reflects a deep commitment to sustainable rural development and cultural preservation.

Ms. Munmuni Pegu
Advocate, Dhemaji District Court
Ms. Munmuni Pegu is a practicing advocate at the Dhemaji District Court, known for her dedication to justice and community welfare. With a strong commitment to social development, she is closely associated with Ajon Trust as a member of its Advisory Board. Her legal expertise and guidance play an important role in strengthening the Trust’s governance, policy decisions, and community-focused initiatives.

Mr. Bipin Dhane
Founder & Executive Director, Ayang Trust, Majuli, Assam
Mr. Bipin Dhane, an IIT B.Tech | M.Tech graduate, moved to the social sector after a three-year corporate stint in Singapore. He anchors Ayang Trust as its Executive Director, leading impactful initiatives in education, livelihood, and community development in Majuli and beyond. His decision to dedicate his life to rural transformation has inspired many young professionals to contribute to nation-building through grassroots action. As a member of the Advisory Board of Ajon Trust, he provides strategic guidance and mentorship to strengthen Ajon Trust’s mission of empowering tribal and rural communities.
