We invited all parents to participate in activities aimed at improving the school environment, including cleaning the campus, repairing the school road, and planting trees. After the successful completion of these tasks, GOONJ showed its appreciation by providing a bag of clothes to each parent as a token of support.

In collaboration with the Azim Premji Foundation, we're proud to announce a new initiative at Naharbari focused on empowering women from the Mising community. This program provides essential knowledge and training on scientific piggery farming to women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs).For the Mising community, pig farming is a vital source of income. However, a high mortality rate among pigs has been a significant challenge, directly impacting the community's financial stability. Our primary objective is to equip these women with the skills and knowledge to reduce pig mortality rates. Through scientific methods in housing, feeding, and disease prevention, we aim to improve the health and productivity of their livestock. By strengthening this key livelihood, we are not just helping to raise healthier pigs, we are helping to build a more secure future for the Mising community in Naharbari.
